A year after the heartbreaking loss of Matthew Perry, his sister Caitlin Morrison remains devoted to honoring his memory through impactful initiatives. In her first interview since the beloved actor's passing, Caitlin opened up about cherished moments with her brother, reminiscing about his infectious energy that could light up any space. "There was this undeniable magnetism when Matthew was in the room," Caitlin reflected. "Everyone couldn’t help but smile."

Together with their father, Keith Morrison, Caitlin has turned their grief into purpose by establishing the Matthew Perry Foundation of Canada. This organization is dedicated to the causes Matthew was passionate about, particularly supporting addiction recovery. As executive director, Caitlin finds comfort in her role, viewing it as a way to remain connected to her brother. "The work I’m doing now feels personal, almost like I’m sitting beside Matthew," she shared, underscoring how deeply meaningful this mission is to her.

Matthew Perry passed away in October 2023 at the age of 54, with causes of death linked to the effects of ketamine, drowning, and coronary artery disease. His sudden death shocked loved ones, including his stepfather, Keith, who shared, "Anybody who has lost a child will tell you that, even if you are in some way prepared, it’s shattering." Despite their pain, the family is determined to honor Perry’s legacy by continuing his fight against addiction.

As the investigation into Perry's death remains open, multiple individuals, including Perry’s assistant and an acquaintance, have faced federal charges in connection with the ketamine involved in his passing.
