Cars are removed from sales
American manufacturer of electric cars Tesla will recall more than nine thousand cars in the USA due to defects in suspension and roof lining, according to releases posted on the website of the (NHTS) National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in the USA.
In particular, the company will recall 9,136 Model X vehicles manufactured in 2016. "Cosmetic roof linings at the front and back could have been glued to the vehicle without prior priming. As a result, one or both of the interior trim elements could be separated from the car while driving", the company wrote. This, according to the company, could create a danger on the road and increase the risk of accidents. Tesla will notify the owners of the recalled cars and dealers will check the adhesion of the roof trim.
In addition, Tesla will recall the 401 Model Y 2020 cars. "The bolts connecting the front upper suspension arm and the swivel fist may not have been properly tightened, which could result in the upper arm disconnecting from the swivel fist", the report says. The company explains that a detached upper suspension lever may cause the wheels to tilt in or out, reducing the driver's ability to drive and increasing the risk of accidents. Tesla will notify the owners and dealers will inspect and tighten the bolts free of charge if necessary.
