Twitter improvements from Elon Musk
US entrepreneur Elon Musk will join the board of directors of social network Twitter. It was announced in a statement on the US SEC website.
"The company will appoint Musk to its board of directors, his term will expire at the company's annual shareholder meeting in 2024," the document said. The announcement was also confirmed by Twitter director Parag Agrawal on his page on the social network.
Musk himself, for his part, said he was looking forward to joining the company "to make significant improvements to Twitter in the coming months".
On Monday, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) revealed that Musk owns a 9.2% stake in Twitter.
Also, Twitter's shares closed on the plus side in yesterday's trading at +5.82%. The highest price per Twitter share yesterday was US$54.55, while the lowest was US$52.67. Moreover, over the past five days, Twitter shares have added +30.66%.
The same day, the entrepreneur asked his followers about the need to add editing capabilities to the social network, but no official announcement was made about his future role at Twitter.
