Biography

Zachry Alexander Brown, known professionally as Zac Brown, is an American singer, songwriter and musician best known as the co-founder and lead vocalist of the country group Zac Brown Band.

Brown built his career around a blend of country, Southern rock, folk and acoustic-driven songwriting, helping Zac Brown Band become one of the most recognizable acts in modern country music. As the group’s frontman, he has been central to its sound, live performances and long-running success.

Beyond his work with Zac Brown Band, Brown has also explored other musical directions. He co-founded Sir Rosevelt, an electronic dance music group that allowed him to move outside traditional country influences and experiment with a more genre-blending style.

In 2019, Brown released a surprise pop album titled The Controversy, further showing his interest in expanding his creative identity beyond the country format. His career has been defined by versatility, collaboration and a willingness to cross musical boundaries.
