Biography

Folasade Olayinka Baderinwa, known professionally as Sade Baderinwa, is an American broadcast journalist and longtime television news anchor. She has been a prominent presence at WABC-TV, the ABC flagship station in New York, since joining the station in 2003.

Baderinwa became widely recognized through her work on Eyewitness News, where she built a reputation for delivering major local stories with clarity, authority and composure. Over the years, she has become one of the station’s key on-air figures and a familiar face to New York viewers.

At WABC-TV, Baderinwa has held a leading role in the station’s evening news coverage. She currently co-anchors the weekday 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. editions of Eyewitness News with Bill Ritter, helping guide audiences through breaking news, community stories and major developments across the city and region.

Her long-running career at ABC7 has made her one of New York’s most recognizable broadcast journalists, with her work closely associated with the station’s Eyewitness News brand.
