Biography

Iain Andrew Stirling is a Scottish comedian, writer, television presenter, narrator and Twitch streamer from Edinburgh, Scotland. He began his career in stand-up comedy before moving into children’s television, where he became a familiar face on CBBC through shows including The Dog Ate My Homework, All Over the Place and 12 Again.

Stirling’s breakout role came in 2015, when he became the narrator of ITV2’s revived dating series Love Island. His sharp, self-aware voiceover style became one of the show’s signature elements and helped make him closely associated with the franchise. He later expanded that role to Love Island USA, bringing his commentary to the American edition as well.

Outside the villa, Stirling has built a varied entertainment career. He has hosted CelebAbility, appeared on Taskmaster, and created, wrote and starred in the ITV2 sitcom Buffering. He also continues to perform stand-up, stream on Twitch and work across podcasting and television. Today, he is best known internationally as the voice of Love Island and Love Island USA.
