LeAnn Rimes Halts Tour
LeAnn Rimes has postponed two Washington concerts after falling ill, telling fans she is unable to travel or perform this week.
The 43-year-old singer was set to appear Thursday, April 30, at the Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox in Spokane, Washington, and Friday, May 1, at Benaroya Hall in Seattle. The Spokane show will now take place Sunday, May 31, while the Seattle date has moved to Tuesday, June 2.
“I am truly heartbroken to have to reschedule and I am so very grateful for your kindness and continued support as I recover,” Rimes wrote on Instagram Story.
The update comes during a busy stretch for Rimes, whose career still carries the legacy of “How Do I Live,” written by Diane Warren, while her screen work includes 9-1-1: Nashville, the franchise entry connected to Ryan Murphy, Tim Minear and Rashad Raisani.
Rimes’ health had already drawn attention after she and Human Garage shared a March 29 video of her undergoing a deep jaw-release procedure developed by Garry Lineham. The clip showed the singer and 9-1-1: Nashville actress visibly emotional as the treatment was performed, prompting debate over whether her reaction was genuine. In an April 20 interview with Entertainment Weekly, Rimes dismissed the speculation and joked that she is not Meryl Streep.
Days later, Rimes marked her 15th wedding anniversary with husband Eddie Cibrian on April 23, reflecting on a difficult period involving family concerns at home. She did not explain what caused the tears and worry.
Rimes and Cibrian, 52, married in April 2011. She is stepmother to Cibrian’s sons, Mason, 22, and Jake, 18, from his previous marriage to Brandi Glanville, which lasted from 2001 to 2010. Rimes was previously married to dancer Dean Sheremet from 2002 to 2010.
