Book Burned on Bravo
Andy Cohen and Lisa Rinna are officially past their fiery book drama — but not before revisiting it on air.
During the Wednesday, February 25 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Cohen addressed Rinna’s revelation that she burned his 2023 memoir, The Daddy Diaries: The Year I Grew Up, in her fireplace after discovering he had published private text messages she sent about leaving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
The controversy dates back to Cohen’s memoir, in which he shared late-night texts from Rinna in 2023 announcing she was quitting the Bravo franchise, followed by a message asking if there was “a path forward.” Rinna ultimately exited the series after season 12, closing out an eight-season run marked by headline-making clashes, including her infamous Aspen showdown with Kathy Hilton.
In her own memoir, You Better Believe I’m Gonna Talk About It, Rinna admitted she was furious that Cohen printed the texts and said she threw the book into the fire.
Reunited on WWHL, Cohen confirmed he recently apologized when they saw each other at the season 4 reunion of The Traitors, whose cast specials he hosts. “I apologize for publishing those texts,” Cohen said, acknowledging he reconsidered the decision.
Rinna accepted the apology, signaling a thaw in what Cohen described as a complicated relationship tied to her departure from the Housewives franchise he helped build at Bravo.
Despite past tension, Cohen publicly thanked Rinna for showing up for him at two milestone events: his 2019 baby shower and his February 2022 Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony — the latter coming shortly after the death of her mother, Lois.
The exchange underscored a familiar Bravo truth: feuds may fuel the storyline, but history — and loyalty — often outlast the flames.
