Owens Slams TPUSA View Fraud
Candace Owens has accused Turning Point USA of inflating viewer numbers for its All-American Halftime Show during Super Bowl 2026.
On Sunday, February 8, the 36-year-old conservative commentator fired off posts on X criticizing Turning Point USA — the group founded by the late Charlie Kirk — for allegedly falsifying stats from its rival halftime broadcast across social platforms. Owens disputed the reported 5 million live viewers, sharing a YouTube channel screenshot that revealed fewer than 6,000.
Owens posted that people with unearned wealth often fail to grasp basic realities. She accused the group of manipulating viewership through paid platform promotions and influencer hype to fabricate record-breaking claims.
That evening, Blake Neff — former producer of The Charlie Kirk Show and contributor to the TPUSA production — posted detailed figures on X: more than 5 million concurrent viewers on TPUSA YouTube, almost 1 million on Charlie Kirk's YouTube, 200,000 on Magno News YouTube, 220,000 on TPUSA Rumble, and 15,000 on Charlie Kirk Rumble. He observed that RAV's numbers steadily climbed, surpassing Bad Bunny's official Super Bowl halftime show.
Owens dismissed both events, stating, "I am sorry but I hate both options." She faulted Bad Bunny's performance for lacking any English lyrics, then questioned the political divide: "The left vs. right grift is actually boring now. What exactly are we doing here, America?"
The dispute echoes Owens' tenure as TPUSA communications director from 2017 to 2019, when she formed a bond with Charlie Kirk, aged 31, during their political rise. After his September 2025 assassination — blamed on suspect Tyler Robinson — Owens defended him as innocent and clashed with Kirk's widow, Erika Kirk.
Owens later shared a recording of Erika, 37, boasting about metrics in a call just 12 days afterward. Owens highlighted the timing: "We are not even two weeks after watching your husband be assassinated. We're talking about numbers and metrics that have been hit." (Her representative verified its authenticity.) Now TPUSA's CEO and chairwoman, Erika Kirk denounced the leak and urged Owens to cease conspiracy claims. Their conflict culminated in a December 2025 four-and-a-half-hour meeting, which both labeled "productive" on X.
