Exes Miley Cyrus and Patrick Schwarzenegger shared a warm moment at the 2026 Golden Globes, signaling that old flames can remain friendly. The pair, 33 and 32 respectively, were spotted exchanging pleasantries and a cheek kiss at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, on Sunday, January 11, with Miley’s mother, Tish Cyrus, looking on.

Cyrus and the White Lotus actor briefly dated from 2014 to 2015, years before Schwarzenegger became engaged to model Abby Champion, whom he wed in September 2025. Miley, meanwhile, has been engaged to singer Maxx Morando since late 2025.

Despite the short-lived romance, Patrick’s parents, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, have long spoken fondly of Miley. Arnold, 78, described her as “a wonderful, wonderful girl and human being. Very, very talented” during a June 2025 appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, recalling a ski trip in Sun Valley where she was “such a wonderful houseguest.” Maria, 67, also praised Miley while cohosting an episode of NBC’s Today With Jenna Friends, noting she would be “very happy to see” her again.

Both Miley and Patrick have since moved on with public relationships. Cyrus married actor Liam Hemsworth in 2018, though the couple split a year later and finalized their divorce in 2020. She has been with Maxx Morando since 2021, reflecting on their engagement last December: “The detail that I can share is that for us, our privacy and us kind of keeping it small has been something that I’ve been astounded that I’ve actually been able to have…”

Schwarzenegger and Champion, after dating for a decade, celebrated their wedding on the shores of Lake Coeur d’Alene in Idaho. In a Vogue interview, Champion highlighted Patrick’s hands-on approach: “Funny enough, it’s more Patrick’s personality to dive into the flowers and little details. He helped with so much, which I absolutely loved.”
