TikTok Couple Splits

The long-running relationship between TikTok creator Kristy Scott and her estranged husband, Desmond Scott, has come to an end after nearly 12 years, with the separation now playing out publicly following Kristy’s decision to file for divorce.

Desmond, 31, acknowledged the situation on Instagram on Saturday, January 10, responding to widespread online attention and expressing regret over the emotional strain the situation has placed on Kristy, their family, and those who have followed their lives online.

According to legal records, Kristy, 30, filed for divorce on December 30, 2025, in Harris County. The paperwork states that the marriage has reached a point of no reconciliation and notes plans for the couple to maintain separate residences. Media reports have also pointed to alleged infidelity being referenced in the filing. Representatives for both Kristy and Desmond have been contacted for comment.

In his message, Desmond reflected on what he described as a prolonged period of difficulty within the marriage, saying repeated efforts were made to address ongoing issues. He indicated that conversations about parting ways began late in 2025 and admitted to choices made during that time that he now regrets. Despite the separation, he emphasized that raising their two sons, Vance and Westin, together remains his primary focus.

Kristy has not publicly addressed Desmond’s comments.

The former couple first met at age 14 and married in 2014, building both a family and careers in the public eye. They marked a decade of marriage in August 2024 with an elaborate garden-themed celebration, which they described to People as “a grown-up reimagining of their original wedding.”

Across the years, Kristy and Desmond cultivated a large online audience by sharing family-oriented content. Kristy currently has 9.5 million followers on Instagram and 16.8 million on TikTok, while Desmond gained his own following through cooking videos and family-focused posts.

Kristy’s most recent TikTok upload, shared Tuesday, January 6, featured a banana bread recipe and did not reference the divorce. Her last social media appearance alongside Desmond dates back to December 2025.
