The 43-year-old mom of six dropped into the actor’s latest Instagram post with an enthusiastic message cheering on his recovery, a small but heartfelt glimpse into how the family is navigating his health battle.

Her comment arrived as Van Der Beek unveiled his newest fundraising project: limited-edition replicas of the white-and-blue away jersey he wore as Jonathan “Mox” Moxon in the 1999 cult favorite Varsity Blues. The actor modeled the throwback uniform in a new video while explaining that proceeds will go toward his treatment as well as families facing similar medical challenges.

The jersey drop follows another round of memorabilia sales the actor announced earlier this month, this time from his Dawson’s Creek years. Props that have been tucked away in storage — like Dawson’s prom necklace for Joey and his outfit from the show’s pilot — are headed to auction and expected to bring in thousands.

Van Der Beek, 48, first revealed his diagnosis in November 2024 and said he had been quietly managing it with help from his loved ones. At the time, he shared, “I’ve been privately dealing with this diagnosis and have been taking steps to resolve it, with the support of my incredible family.”

Even as he parts with pieces of his past, the actor’s updates reflect a focus on gratitude, community, and turning nostalgia into something practical — and meaningful — during one of the toughest chapters of his life.
