Robert Pattinson’s Trash Feast
Robert Pattinson isn’t one to turn down a questionable meal—or a good story. The British actor, 39, recently addressed Jennifer Lawrence’s revelation that she once served him food pulled straight from her garbage, turning what could have been an awkward anecdote into a surprisingly charming one. Speaking with Entertainment Tonight during the Die, My Love premiere in New York City on November 1, he shared his verdict on the unusual dish with typical deadpan humor:
“I thought it was delicious,” he said with a grin. “She must have a really nice trash haul.”
Lawrence, 35, first recounted the incident during an October appearance on The Graham Norton Show, explaining that she’d invited Pattinson over only to realize she had no fresh food. In a panic, she retrieved leftovers from the bin, plated them, and hoped for the best. To her astonishment, he not only ate the meal but asked for seconds — seemingly unbothered when she confessed where it came from. The story quickly went viral, adding another hilarious entry to both stars’ reputations for self-deprecating humor.
That easy chemistry between them extends to their upcoming film, Die, My Love, adapted from Ariana Harwicz’s acclaimed novel. Lawrence plays Grace, a writer grappling with postpartum depression and psychosis, while Pattinson stars as her husband, Jackson, who struggles to reach her as their world unravels.
At the AMC Lincoln Square premiere, the duo’s camaraderie shone through. Pattinson cut a sleek figure in a black-and-white Dior Men suit, while fiancée Suki Waterhouse turned heads in a floral Zoe Gustavia Anna Whalen gown paired with a choker and ornate brooch. With the film set to hit theaters November 7, their red-carpet dynamic hints at a partnership that’s as unpredictable — and oddly endearing — as a dinner salvaged from the trash.
