North West’s Fake Ink
Kim Kardashian isn’t here for anyone criticizing her daughter’s self-expression.
The reality star and entrepreneur fired back after online critics took issue with her 12-year-old daughter, North West, showing off fake piercings and face tattoos on TikTok. Kardashian, 45, brushed off the backlash, calling it “such a non-issue.”
North’s viral clip, which has racked up nearly 5 million views, featured her rocking a star tattoo under her eye, her name in cursive across her cheek, and a faux septum ring. She completed the look with blue-braided highlights, henna-style hand art, and a black grill — all part of her playful experimentation.
To make sure no one overreacted, North clarified in a follow-up post that everything was temporary, captioning it simply: “Fake piercings and fake tatts 4 life.”
While some social media users called the look “shocking,” others were quick to defend the preteen’s right to experiment, pointing out that kids have been trying temporary tattoos and wild looks for decades.
Kim, who shares North with ex-husband Kanye West, has long supported her daughter’s creative freedom. She previously told Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper that she encourages North’s self-expression, even when it raises eyebrows.
North, she explained, already has her own sense of style — “a tomboy most of the time” — and doesn’t seek anyone’s approval.
Beyond motherhood, Kim recently opened up about a minor health scare involving “a little aneurysm” but assured fans she’s staying busy. The SKIMS founder also revealed on The Graham Norton Show that she’s just weeks away from officially qualifying as a lawyer — a goal she’s been pursuing since 2019 as part of her prison reform advocacy.
New episodes of The Kardashians stream Thursdays on Hulu.
